“Oh, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity...”

I joined Freemasonry five years ago, and without a shadow of a doubt, it has
been one of the best experiences of my life.

Contrary to popular belief, Freemasonry does not worship the devil, nor does it
make plans for global domination or socioeconomic control. The true essence of
Freemasonry is to make good men better.

Some may ask, “But wasn’t Freemasonry involved in major events throughout human
history?” In a way, that question is mistaken. It was never Freemasonry itself;
it was always Freemasons. A Freemason, by his very nature, is someone who wishes
to make a difference, to help move humanity toward a new evolutionary state, and
to draw closer to God.

Freemasonry, in turn, is not a religion. We seek free people, regardless of
their beliefs, their religions, their forms of worship, or their ethnic
backgrounds. Our purpose is to fight prejudice and error. It is the ideal of
fraternity.

An ideal long known throughout the world: Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity.

You are not chosen because of your class or position. You are chosen to become a
Freemason if you are free and willing. And it was precisely this willingness
that led Freemasons around the world to be involved in some of the most
well-known events in history.

Another necessary perspective: Freemasonry is not a secret society. It is a
discreet one.

We seek to preserve our customs, which are good, in a proper way and without
interference. That makes us a society. At the same time, we do not seek
concealment, since everyone knows of our existence, nor do we seek the
spotlight, which makes us discreet. The only thing we want is a society that
lives in peace and justice.
